Why is incoming port 80 traffic blocked on the UPipe server?

Outgoing port 80 traffic is allowed from the Upipe server, which allows web traffic from Upipe sites to be viewed. However, we do not allow incoming port 80 traffic to the Upipe server.

If a website or script on a UPipe account were to communicate with an external server through port 80, it would transfer data using the UPipe server's IP address rather than the site's IP address, which would bypass billing for the site's data transfer.

If your site is hosted on the UPipe server and you require incoming port 80 traffic, you will need to upgrade to a Virtual Private Server (VPS) account.

You can find more information regarding our VPS hosting plans at our website.
