How can I create a new username for SSH in the HSPC control panel?

To create a username which has SSH privileges:

  1. Go to the System tab
  2. Click "Users and Groups"
  3. Click "Users"
  4. Click "New User"
  5. Type in your user name and password in both password fields
  6. Select the type of shell you wish to use (in most cases this would be /bin/bash). If you can leave the "Home Directory" field blank, as well as the primary / secondary groups, the system will automatically provide the default information.
  7. Click on the Update button to save your changes.
