How do I move my mysql database from a Upipe hosting account to a WebPro hosting account?

To move a database from a Upipe hosting account to a WebpPro hosting account follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Upipe Plesk 5 control panel.
  2. Click on the domain name that has the database you wish to export.
  3. Click on the Databases button.
  4. Click on the database you wish to export.
  5. Click on the Phpmyadmin button.
  6. Click on the database name in the left windowpane.
  7. In the "View dump (schema) of database" section, select "Structure and data".
  8. Check the box next to "Save as file".
  9. Click on the Go button right below the "Save as file" line.
  10. Choose to save the file, and give a location on your hard drive to save the file. The exact messages will differ depending on the Operating System version on your local computer.
  11. Log into your WebPro hosting account.
  12. Click on the System tab.
  13. Click on the domain name that matches the domain in step 2.
  14. Click on Databases.
  15. Click on Add New Database.
  16. Type in the database name that matches the database in step 4. Note: If a database with that name already exists you may need to rename your database to something else.
  17. Choose the type of database to be "MySQL".
  18. Click on the OK button.
  19. Click on Add New Database User.
  20. Type in the database user name and password (in both password fields). It will be easiest for any programs that use your database if the user name and password match the database user name from the database on the Upipe account.
  21. Click on the OK button.
  22. Click on DB WebAdmin.
  23. Click on the database name in the left windowpane.
  24. Click on the SQL tab.
  25. Click on the Browse button.
  26. Find the database file you backed up from your Upipe account.
  27. Click on the Open button.
  28. Choose Autodetect for the Compression type.
  29. Click on the bottom right-hand Go button. Your database has been imported.

If you have made any changes to the database name, database user and/or password you will need to update and configuration files or scripts that use that information to access your database.
